本局核發警察刑事紀錄證明為2個工作日內核發（不含申請日），但有犯罪紀錄、團體件及電腦資訊系統故障、或須向司法或軍法機關查詢者，不在此限。
It may take two working days for issuing the certificate, excluding applicant with criminal record, group application, and system break down. It may also take longer if court inquiries are required.
依警察刑事紀錄證明核發條例第8條規定：申請人有下列情形之一者，不予核發警察刑事紀錄證明：
（1）受通緝尚未撤銷者。
（2）判決確定之刑事案件尚未執行或執行中者。
According to the Act Governing Issuance of Police Criminal Record Certificates, Police Records will not be issued to applicants who remain on a wanted list or whose prison sentences haven’t been served or are being served.
領證及繳費事項請洽受理之縣（市）警察局，非本人臨櫃申請需另外檢附委託書正本（須由申請人親簽或蓋章），受委託人於領件時須出示雙方證件正本（身分證或戶口名簿）。
Regarding information on pick-up-records and payment for a processing fee, please check with the police agency in charge; if an application is made by a proxy, an authorization letter must be submitted (original only and must be signed by the applicant). Personal IDs (original only) of the proxy and the applicant are required when picking up a certificate.
網路申請：網路申請者，於上網申請後第3日起(不含申請日及例假日)30日內攜帶應備證件至本局或各分局驗證及繳費領件，非本人領件需另外檢附委託書正本（須由申請人親簽或蓋章），受委託人於領件時須出示雙方證件正本。
For online applicants, please pick up your certificate with passport and ARC and pay the processing fee at Taichung City Police Department or all its precincts in 3 working days. If an application is made by a proxy, an authorization letter must be submitted (original only and must be signed by the applicant). Personal IDs (original only) of the proxy and the applicant are required when picking up a certificate.

申辦作業之應繳文件（Required Documents）：
臺灣地區有戶籍國民：申請人國民身分證正本（正本驗畢歸還），或戶口名簿正本（正本驗畢歸還，另需出示有相片之證件）；需於國外使用或登載英文姓名者，應另檢附中華民國護照基本資料頁影本1份（Not for Foreigners）。
※申請人未滿18歲者，應由其法定代理人為之。
臺灣地區無戶籍國民、大陸地區人民及香港澳門居民：中華民國臺灣地區居留證或內政部入出國及移民署核發之其他相關證件正本及影本各1份（正本驗畢歸還）（Not for Foreigners）。
外國人：護照或外僑居留證(永久居留證)正本及影本各1份（正本驗畢歸還）。

證書費：
（一）國內申辦：每件新臺幣100元，同一次申請2份以上者，自第2份起每份收費20元。
（二）國外申辦：
1.香港、澳門地區：每件美金6元同一次申請2份以上者，自第2份起每份收費美金1元(含郵資)。
2.其他國外地區：每件美金7元同一次申請2份以上者，自第2份起每份收費美金1元(含郵資)。
Processing Fee: Police Criminal Record Certificates cost NT$100 for the first copy, and NT$20 for each additional copy. Overseas applicants should remit US$7 in cash for the first copy (applicants from Hong Kong and Macau should remit US$6 in cash), and US$1 for each additional copy.
